The Suburbs - Arcade Fire @
I decided to start talking about albums, books and more. I wish to comment on time to tell me what you think about it, if site agree so with me, thanks (:
"If they make a good third album, the Arcade Fire can really considararsi of the best bands around at the moment." This I said to myself until some time ago. And then this long-awaited work is finally here. listener feel a lot of different feelings, all very strong. It begins with the title track, The Suburbs , beautiful, beautiful, which gives peace of mind ;. It seems to be in an atmosphere of familiarity, and perhaps it is because the Arcade Fire in the end It sounds like a big family, all together as if they were singing and playing in the peace of a Canadian suburb. Then, everything starts to get a little 'darker, until Rococo , reminiscent of medieval-style even. And then comes Empty Room, which changes all over again: it's fast, decisive, as the voice of Queen, who accompanies her husband Win here. She is beautiful, lively, cheerful, probably my favorite. Here comes the pair Half Light, in a sense obscure, hits you straight to the heart when the first song and does not leave you as long as not the end of the second piece. And just when everything seems quiet, that's sticking Month of May, which esettamente as Empty Room changes everything and makes the hot climate, fast beats and the irresistible rhythm. The calm comes back with Wasted Hours and Deep Blue, but it is the single We used to wait that affecting seriously. By the way, I also suggest to watch the video very very nice: it is recommended to have Google Chrome, just go to the site and do http://www.thewildernessdowntown.com/ as indicated by the instructions (when it asks you the name of the street I recommend you put any road you know well and Google Maps Street View is with). You'll find yourself in a whole new experience and very special that will hit you for sure. Then there's the odd couple Scrawl: The first part is very sensitive and delicate, the second extremely pop (wonderful her voice). It then concludes with the sweet The Suburbs (continued) to close to perfection.
Needless to say that the level is not the first Funeral , but you can not just stay glued to the past and frankly if I do not see an album is good because you have to make comparisons with the previous ones. And as I said the album is really nice and I do not think there's something to add. Maybe it's a bit 'too heavy, too long, the sixteen pieces if they could take someone less attractive. But I find that there are many potential singles. Some might point to them as "commercial", but I think it's just more immediate and therefore more easily understandable to everyone, even those who are less accustomed to a certain type of music.
